Today at school during Taw7eed class, we got out of the topic and were arguing with our teacher.
This teacher, I admired, yes, the metalhead likes her religion teacher!
I used to think she was different than those other ma6aw3aa’s..in her own way. She speaks in this calm tone and tries discussing with you in a sensible approach and her clothes are cute too!
- But I take that BACK!!!!!!!!
About women working?
She said as a mother, she wont let her daughter work. None.
HER REASONS the following:
فساد ، اختلاط بالرجال، عدم أدائها لحقوقها كزوجة وأم على أكمل وجه؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟؟
We asked, even if she wanted to be a teacher like you? She said NEVER.
And she said:
لا وألعن من كذا إذا طبيبة
This made me explode, woah woah, I wont let it pass. Law sm7tee la ttklmee 3n al 6eb keda!
هل الطب للمرأة ملعنة في نظرها؟
WHAAAAAAT?!
DOES A GIRL STUDY 12 YEARS AT SCHOOL TO SIT HOME?!?!?!
IS IT SOMETHING WRONG SHE BECOMES A DOCTOR?!
WHAT WOULD YOU HAVE DONE IF YOU DIDN’T HAVE FOR EXAMPLE FEMALE GYNOCLOGISTS?!
Oh yeah why don’t you get warm water and some towels and put your baby/
This is not ayaam al rasool -3laih al 9laa wal slaam-. The circumstance and situations are different. You have to develop some matters in suitable proper way.
-------------------------------------
The whole class exploded in rage about women working issue, expressing angry opinions and disagreeing, she couldn’t calm us down.
Eventually she told us she wasn’t trying to control us, only hoping she would advice is in whats best for our religion.
GOD!!! I WAS MAD.
If I became a doctor wont I do something good in my religion?!
HELPING PEOPLE, PARTICIPATING IN GROWTH OF MY COUNTRY…ETC;
:@ :@ :@ :@ :@
SHE BROKE DOWN ALL THE DREAMS I WAS HAVING, I STARTED GETTING DOUBTS.
I told my mom this when I came home:
Mom, I wanted to be a house wife like you when I grow up.
I mean I wanna have lovely children, be a good cook, nice quiet home, understanding husband who has a good paying job. And my main concern will be this little family of mine. You know what I mean? I wanna take care of them. :) :)
AND I thought I can do both. Ill take care of them, and ill become an excellent doctor at the same time, ill be some kind of super woman, :D
But what that teacher said, really brought me down.
I wont be able –in the future- to give my family what they need, right?
I never wanna do that to them. (mashalla 3leeya already dreaming of al 5elfa, 5leena njeeb al zooj awwal :P)
My mom said:
Don’t listen to her, Take your cousin and her family as an example, she’s a doctor, and she takes care of her little daughter. Its not impossible.
Dont do what I did. You must go to university after you finish high. Don’t stop right there. Go after your dreams.
IT’S A RIGHT YOUR CHILDREN HAVE: For them to have an educated working mom, a good salary, and be able to offer them what they need because of her position. Don’t you understand?
Maybe when your kids are young you might not be around them always but you will find time for them because they matter to you.
But trust me I know when they grow up they’ll be thankful for you. They’ll appreciate it, and be proud of their mommy.
:) okay
At6amant d7een….my future is not ruined :D
*****ill be having sweet daydreams of that future now :P heheheh****

mahman ta6awwarna they will always have that stupid and pointless mentality
alot of families don't agree with their girls being doctors lil2asaf (because of the whole e5telaa6 thing) 7atta my psychology teacher at school used to tell us how she always wanted to work at a hospital (given the fact that she was a clinical psychologist) but nooooo her father wouldn't let her, so she ended up being a teacher. 6ab3an i have nothing against teachers bs ag9d enno that wasn't her dream!
we just have to thank god for giving us families that don't lock us up whenever a man comes walking right infront of us!!
shokran rabbi :)
Yeaaaaaaaaaaah Nrfztneeeeeee..:@:@:@:@
so one of the objections why she thought against allowing women to work was not being able to perform her housewife duties as she should be?
if she's that familiar with religion, she would know that (working) is a form of worship...meaning, it's religious duty, that's one
two, a woman is not responsible in any way to take care of household duties. this is something she does by choice, and religion assured her this right
three, I bet she never consulted a male doctor her entire life, so if by chance, people wanted to follow her advice, would she give in, and seek a male doctor out of necessity? is that what she wants?
excuse me, I think she lost a screw to her head somewhere. her knowledge about religion is superficial, and the form of input she received comes from our out-dated traditions.
I'll quote someone, and you can quote me to her and see what she has to say in response: " People, don't mix your out-dated thoughts in religion or you'll suffer our own sins if we started hating our religion because of you."
I told this to some religious people by the way, and they left me alone after that!
